Why people switch
Cash-out apps pay a few cents for a typical day of walking, and you usually wait until you build up a balance before you see anything. StayActive skips the pennies. You earn points for hitting your daily goal and keeping your streak, then spend them on rewards from partner brands, or give them to charity.
It is also built to keep you walking: three daily goal tiers, a streak bonus every 7 days, and five levels from Newbie to Legend.
When WeWard may suit you better
If cash is the only reward you want, or you are on Android today, WeWard may be the better fit for now. You can also use both.
How StayActive works
StayActive is a free iPhone app. Your steps sync automatically from Apple Health, so there is nothing to log by hand.
- Points for steps: you earn points when you pass 5,000, 10,000 and 15,000 steps in a day (10, 20 and 25 points). The tiers stack, so a 15,000-step day earns all three.
- Bonus points: +5 for opening the app each day, and +25 for a 7-day streak of hitting your goal.
- Levels: walk consistently to move from Newbie to Starter, Explorer, Champion and Legend, with a one-time bonus at each step up.
- Rewards: spend points on rewards from partner brands, or donate them to charity.
- A fair daily limit: everyday points are capped at 100 a day, which keeps rewards meaningful for everyone.

Is StayActive like WeWard?
Both reward you for walking. WeWard converts steps into a currency you can cash out. StayActive gives points for daily goals, streaks and levels, which you redeem for partner brand rewards or charity donations.
Does StayActive pay cash like WeWard?
No. StayActive rewards come from partner brands, or you can donate your points to charity.
Can I use StayActive and WeWard together?
Yes. StayActive reads your steps from Apple Health, so it works alongside other step apps.
